Engaging Fans Through Experiential Marketing
Remember that Viki commercial about a K-drama-themed cafe? Well, I decided to make it a reality. At KCON LA 2023, the Viki Boba Shop wasn't just a booth, it was the place to be. We're talking custom boba concoctions inspired by classic K-drama tropes, subscriber-only giveaways, an interactive photo booth that let fans insert themselves into their favorite scenes, a living gallery wall, and enough photo ops to fill an Instagram feed. The response was, shall we say, enthusiastic. The buzz was electric, and the booth's runaway success actually laid the groundwork for a partnership with CJ ENM, which led to the launch of the first-ever International K-Drama Day later that year.

Booth Activation
The booth had several different sections with different activities in each. It was created with a social media first lens ensuring every section showcased something that could be a shareable moment.
Giveaways
Six key giveaways were created for this event. Three boba drinks including a Viki blue boba were created along with boba plushie keychains, stickers and a pin. Fans could select the item they wanted from the cafe menu.
