DreamUp originally created as an art commissioning platform where clients could request various assets from vetted artists within the DeviantArt community.
My
Story
Driving Growth, One Feature at a Time
As DreamUp's product lead, I spearheaded the platform's transition from beta to public launch, overseeing all aspects of operations, marketing, product development, and customer relations. My focus was threefold: client acquisition, artist recruitment, and platform simplification. To attract clients, I developed compelling case studies showcasing successful commissions and implemented targeted advertising campaigns. For artist recruitment, I engaged with talent at art conventions and leveraged DeviantArt's existing community.
I prioritized improving the user experience by analyzing client research and overhauling the creative request form. Recognizing that most clients were new to commissioning, I designed a more intuitive form with variations tailored to different content types, ensuring requests were clear, specific, and provided artists with all necessary information.
